History

Minto Park, established in 1904, holds the prestigious designation of a municipal historic site. Named after the Yukon's first visiting Governor General, Gilbert Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, the 4th Earl of Minto, the park remains an homage to the town's rich recreational heritage.
