Commemorative Park Program
The City of Dawson Commemorative Parks Program provides the public with opportunities to pay tribute to significant events or loved ones through the commemoration of a tree or memorial bench. These items create lasting memories and contribute to the beautification of our parks and green spaces.
Apply to the Commemorative Parks Program
You can participate in this program by submitting a completed Commemorative Parks Application (see below for form) along with the donation amount to Parks and Recreation Services

Donors may choose from

a hand crafted memorial bench and personalized plaque - donation amount $1,500, or
-
a tree and personalized plaque - refer to the application form for donation amounts and types of trees
Plaques are made of brass and measure 3" x 5". Our staff will make every effort to comply with the wishes of the contributor regarding the location of all commemorative installations within the selected park.
Applications are accepted year round.
